With lower iron content and essential amino acids
Iron is a required ingredient of horse feed. However, high ratios could cause secondary copper and zinc deficiencies and result in issues, such as poor hoof quality, for that reason we add only a small amount of iron (60 mg/kg) to Kompakt.
Lysine is an essential amino acid, needed for optimal growth of fowls and helps to maintain the nitrogen balance. Methionine is also an essential amino acid containing sulphur. Sulphur (S) is a key element for the organism and has multiple functions. Methionine helps the liver in the fat balance.
High levels of essentials vitamins
Vitamin E is an important essential vitamin that horses cannot produce themselves. It has several functions in the body like supporting the immune system, the nerve and muscle functions and as an antioxidant. Vitamin E is present in green fresh grass but hardly present in hay and silage.
Kompakt contains enough vitamin E to cover the horse's needs (source National Research Council (NRC): at rest 335 mg/day, light work 536 mg/day, heavy work 670 mg/day).
Vitamin B8 or biotin helps to keep horse’s hooves souple and strong, and helps in maintaining a shiny coat.
Natural product with low sugar and high fibre content
Sugar content is only 5.1%.
High fibre content (crude fibre 13.8%) contributes to better digestion.
As an natural product developed with respect for the planet and the animal, Kompakt is free from soy, artificial colourants and aromas.
