Instructions for use
Easily push the lock downward to release the safety lock system. Pick up one paw with one hand and hold firmly, but gently. If your pet is afraid of cutting toenails, call a family member or a friend to hold the pet, and you can concentrate on the trimming.
By using your other hand, line the clippers to the nail at a 45° angle. In one smooth and careful movement clip the tip only, straight across. Avoid cutting past the curve of the nail in order not to cut off too much and catch the quick (the bundle of nerves and blood vessels inside the nail). Clean the nail clipper blades with disinfectant after each use.
Make nail trimming fun: always give treats and praise your dog. In the beginning, our advice is to cut off a small amount of just couple of nails at a time, until you’ve got them all and your dog doesn’t mind. As a general rule, monthly trimming is a good idea.
